Jasper I

I was nothing but a mere spectator, a little pet sitting on the lap of its master Alpha Jaden, amongst the sea of the godly creature, who was present in the defence room of the dark tower. The tower was an old and precious heritage of the great kingdom. With the passing year, everything transformed in the palace, from the curtains that were ablaze and beautifully designed on the pillars to the crystals and silver-platinum chandeliers which used to adorn the palace's beauty; everything turned into ashes except the high tower. It was the same as at the time of the great King Arthur.

The wall of the tower was painted a dark bloody red with graffiti made of real gold and silver. One of the walls is covered with the portrait of the King and queen sitting on their thrown proudly with warmth and love in their eyes for their people.

I turned to my right and saw the enormous yet scary weapons. The sword was adorned with gold and diamonds with one dark blood-red stone in the centre of the head which was shining so violently as it was ready to blind anyone with its mere glimpse. Its edge was sharp as it could cut your head out of your head in a quarter of a second time. The weapon was so divine and pious. It belonged to King Arthur and their future heir. It held the power which could destroy the world, but not everyone had the strength to hold it. It's not like no one tried it; it's just that whoever tried to touch it got his hand burned or lost his life from the flame emitting from the sword before they could come near it.

I couldn’t control the emotions bubbling inside me, urging me to take a huge gulp like a starved animal, to greedily eat everything around me with my eyes. It was like a once-in-a-blue moon someone got the chance to see the god of our kind who died for us- to protect us.

My ears perked up when beastly lighting roared in the once clear sky, which was now turned a dark scarlet. Every species in the room shivered with massive impact. My body started to shiver as the room filled with the power oozing out from the kings of all the supernatural at once.

My gaze fell on the center where every leader was seated around the large round table. The King of Vampire, Azrul was wearing a dark clock which was casting a shadow to hide his ghostly pale features and a deep gash running from left eyes to chin. His sharp fangs extended with his lips turned into a scowl. His hand fisted and rested on the table showing the vampire crest he was wearing in his right-hand ring finger.

Sitting beside him was the Queen of Witch Coven-Helga. She was one of the oldest and sly witches on the earth. Anyone could mistake her innocent face and silver hair for naivety, contrary to her fox nature. She was someone you don't want to mess up with.

Sitting opposite to her was our king Theo, king of werewolves, with a clenched fist. His wolf was on the edge with the presence of other creatures and the power they were emitting. He felt threatened and the need to make all of them submit was high. Werewolves belong to a species which don't like the presence of others- other than its own. They always felt uneasy and at the edge because of these strong carnal urges.

I was seeking the presence of my master to calm the terror bubbling inside me due to the thick tension in the ambience. I rubbed my paw on my eyes and a small whimper escaped past my lips as it was almost unbearable for me to stay inside the room if it was not for my Alpha.

The back of the room was filled with the members of a different clan, the pack who came to support their meetings and show the others how they were far much better than their species.

It was an unsung routine for them. Alpha Jaden was one of the Alphas who accompanied the king here to meet the council when they were summoned in a short period.

"Why do we have to be here with those blood-sucking leeches?" One of the witches who accompanied their leader remarked looking at the vampire with blond hair and dark green eyes.

Vampire hiss in response and bared his sharp canine giving her his sickly sly smirk.

The ambience filled with shouts and the narcissistic comments they were throwing on each other; unaware of the storm lurking out of the shadow towards them with a bolt of light. They were behaving like a small child who wanted all the attention of the crowd to himself.

Azrul was hearing all the chaos along with Theo and Helga but did not attempt to interfere in their childish issue as they were having a bigger task, than taking care of childish teenage kids for now.

A roar of thunder followed by the rain of fire; morphed the once bright blue cottony sky to bloody red.

Everyone visibly shudders with the havoc created by Mother Nature. They never saw something like that in their existence. Instead of cool water drizzling, the fire was falling and burning everything in its path from the trees to the old village which was faintly visible from the large window of the tower.

The tension inside the room was cut by an inch when the door of the room opened with a bang making the hinge of the door lose, and entered the royal warriors with their shiny sword in their hands followed by the elders.

The elders were like seven stars in the sky following each other. They were the follower of the spirit and had the ghostly power to connect with them from time to time. They were the most trusted servant of the spirits and chose to show all the species the right path until their ruler came to claim what rightfully belonged to Arthur's family.  All the kind respected them and followed their worlds blindly.

Everyone stood from their place when Vulcan, one out of seven elders took his seat on the right-hand side of the head of the table. His eyes hold the pain after seeing the empty chair of the king before he masks his expression to indifference. Others followed his lead and took their place.

He glanced at all the faces present in the room before nodding towards his youngest brother, Ceres. Ceres was the only brother who was gifted with the strength to present his thoughts to speech, unlike his brothers who were voiceless since the beginning of the world.

Ceres stood from his seat before looking square at everyone with his pale blue eyes which were starting to turn white a blue hue around it looking deadly. He took a deep breath before uttering the right words in his intimate and strict voice which made the powerless creature coward away in nervousness.

"It is not hidden from anyone that we are near our end with the chaos rising from time to time. We were blessed that we managed it with the help of siele guards who were keeping the demon king in the black zone and protecting our world from turning into ashes. Even you all are doing an immaculate job in keeping your kind out of trouble. King Theo and Queen Helga, you are guarding the north and east border in the finest possible ways. But––"He spoke calmly without any emotions.

"It’s not only them but we also protecting the seal from getting a break" The vampire king spoke with amusement in his eyes.

"Stop giving yourself so much importance. You are nothing but blood-sucking leeches. We are the real protector" the Werewolf king snapped looking at him and squaring his shoulder in a challenge.

Helga gritted her teeth before firing the sharp arrow in the form of words.

"Oh god, you all are delusional. You all are nothing but dirt on this earth. You don't even deserve to sit beside us"

She flicks a piece of hair behind her hair and smug proudly. They were bickering and shouting calling each kind names and disrespecting each other.

The warriors stood pointing a knife at each other neck, hissing in disgust for each other.

Every previous word turned silent after hearing the roar rumbling out of the elder, Ceres's chest.

“Move back.”He said gazing at the warriors who were ready to make their enemy headless. His nostrils flared in anger when they paid no heed to his words.

“Move back now, or I’ll make you.”

All the warrior coward away seeing the fire birthed in his eyes.

“Congratulations! You are giving him victory without his even trying, on a silver platter. The anger and anguish you had for each other. He was feeding off your emotions without being here in your presence, making him powerful. This is not the time to quarrel among ourselves and fight to prove your species on the top chain. Who is powerful and superior among you all does not matter in this battle. You all are one–– son and daughter of the same mother with different silhouettes and blood. “He glanced around the room before looking at the leader of each clan.

“Despite being caged in the darkness, away from this world, Fenix has efficiently rooted his stems around our world.   He was creating his undefeatable hybrid army to fight us, to kill us, so he got what he desired more than his life, the throne. We have to stop him before he takes advantage of your issue and creates the forbidden breed by interbreeding. He was doing the sin of forcing the creatures to mate and create the deadly weapon which never heard of before.”

“He wants to destroy everything and every species until nothing is left but his kind. He was forcing and kidnapping the female from the border under your nose without leaving any trace.”

“It’s impossible. We never heard of such a thing. We neither found their send around our territory nor received any news of females getting abducted from our borders.” King Theo spoke while scratching his one-day-old beard.

“I agree with him. If something like this was happening behind our back, at least we may have received any clue.” Helga spoke impatiently looking at the elders.

Vulcan, the eldest, who was listening to everything patiently motioned the warrior to his left, who nodded and went out hurriedly. The warrior came back within a minute with a bundle of small blankets cradling to his chest. His raven hair swayed as he hurriedly came in front of his master. His baby blue eyes were shining seeing whatever he was holding in his arms.

He gave the blanket to Ceres with delicacy, who gave him a small smile before returning his attention to the crowd waiting for the mystery to be solved.

Everyone was standing there holding their breath waiting for the truth to be revealed in front of their eyes. He removed the blanket slowly making everyone's breaths catch in their throat.

The room filled with questions and gasped seeing the one-day-old baby. The white milky skin of the baby was glowing against the candlelight. His soft golden silky threads were waving as the air blew softly.

“Baby?”

“What?”

“It’s so tiny”

“What will this tiny little child do against our army? He is nothing in comparison to our strength. No mighty dare to stand before us. How can this little peasant stand a chance?” King Theo said uttered the words with a proud smile.

“Elder Ceres, are you really afraid of this tiny ball?” King Azrul chuckled and shook his head.

“He can’t stand any chance in front of my clan. A mere chant will make him fall on his knees in fear.” Queen Helga spoke smugly, flipping her hair on her right shoulder.

“You should look again at his face before any of you come concluding. You can even use your power if you have any doubt. ” Ceres said sternly before laying the baby on the table.

“Let’s do it then”
